In the Tabs setting options, please add a new option to specify whether a new tab will appear right next to the current or last tab when click the + sign.
I usually browse the web for integrating some new ideas or knowledge. To do that, a lot of tabs for related information will be opened from specific web page and then being viewed one by one. During some of the opened pages, a lot of other pages(links) will be opened again and read through. As a result, the number of tabs is usually more than 20 or something. When I am in the middle of some pages, I often need to search for some branched topics and after that go back to previous page where the branch occurs. So I very expect the new tab when clicking on the + sign will appear right next the current page. Otherwise, it becomes annoying during the whole browsing experience.
I try to find a setting to achieve this in the Tabs setting of the Options, however not found.
To make firefox more user-friendly, I would like to suggest your team to add a new option to the Tabs options to specify where a new tab will appear right next to the current or last tab when clicking on the + sign. Please and thanks a lot.

Hi, try this: Type about:config into the address bar, press Enter, accept the warning, then scroll down to browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent and double click to change 'Value' from True to False. (I'm not sure if this is what you want, but If set to True, which is the default, whenever you open a new tab by clicking a link in an existing tab, it will open next to the current tab. If set to False, the new tab will open at the end of the tab bar).

Thanks for Scribe_uk's response.
However, the problem is not resolved yet. Let me explain the main points of the problem faced.
(1) the need for setting the new tab behavior occuring when click on the + (new tab) sign at the top-right of the Firefox window, not when click any link in the current page (tab).
(2) in addition to the above requirement, it will make Firefox "more user friendly" to add a new option in the Tabs setting and allow users to resolve the problem just by one click. So, I'm afraid the "about:config" approch may not a good solution.
(3) It is really annoying for the browsing experience I described in previous post.
Thanks very much for pointing me to the input.mozilla.org where this issue may be possibly token care of. I am wondering why I could not find this link from the mozilla.org website after spent plenty of time looking for it yesterday.
Any further suggestions will be very welcomed. Thank you again.

Hi, the-edmeister
Thanks for enlightening me about the helpful tip. I am too unfamiliar with the function menu (keeping them auto hide in my daily use of firefox) to find it. You also make me realize how less feedback I have made for this wonderful creation. Thank you very much.
However, the main problem seems remain unresolved. It really affects the browsing experience a lot for some circumstances. I have already post this issue to the feedback site. Any suggestion or discussion will still be very welcomed. Thanks.
