This appears as an ad on my AOL and XFINITY pages: Unable to connect ..."How to get rid of the ad
The full ad is this"Unable to connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at famousadage.com.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is....
Anyway, it takes you to go.daddy where the site has been parked. How can this ad be gotten rid of because when I first saw the ad I wasted sometime because I thought it was a advisory regarding my Firefox browser. OK How do we get rid of this ad?

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- Anti-Rootkit Utility - TDSSKiller
- AdwCleaner (for more info, see this alternate AdwCleaner download page)
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one. Windows 8 has antivirus built-in already.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

I found the problem yet do not have a solution. That will be with whoever is in control of what ads appear on the Firefox. The web site in question is parked, for free, on go.daddy. It is unavailable. So the ad is promulgating misinformation; an untruth. No one can connect to the web site; famousadage.com,The problem is with the owner of the web site. Its not Firefox's or any other browsers fault. As I said, the site is unavailable via internet. Thank you, Dennis Boyer

FredMcD: Thanks. It is something I knee jerk about, however, your solution seems to be working. Give it a couple of days to be sure. Anyways, thanks again, KUDOS!
Glad to help.
