change gmail password
I recently had to change my gmail password because I thought someone had been fisching for my data. Each time I re-start Thunderbird it asks for my new password, but then does not store it. I can log in OK for the session, but I have to do it again next time. I have attempted to find the field in account information, but have failed. Can someone help please.
Last time I asked this question I was told there is a check box in the change password window, but this is not true. The only check box is asking me if chrome should store this password, and this does not help. For one thing I don't want chrome to know my passwords, and for another, I tried it in desperation but it had no effect.
What I am looking for is a path to the place in the account setup where I can change my password to the new one. I don't want to have to delete and re-enter the account and import all my messages again.

It is true. When Thunderbird asks you for a password it allows you to tick a box telling it to remember the password.
I'm not sure why Chrome has anything to do with this, Thunderbird does not use Chrome to talk to the mail server/host
What operating system are you on, which version of Thunderbird ?
