Having problem getting Thunderbird to see (new) second Virgin Media email address, and webmail not much better. If I create a Gandi net account will both my 1st V Media address and new Gandi address be available from same Thunderbird set up?

Regards, Phil

I'm worried for you that if webmail is having issues, regular email may not be any better (and could perform far worse!) Do you have a notably slow or intermittent connection?

That's not a bad price and in fact it is a bit less than I pay for my .org.uk domain and its accounts. But then my provider is the UK and I'm on first name terms with the uncharacteristically competent techies they employ.

I have round about 11 email and news accounts, so yes.

It will look similar to this (below).

Do you really need a gandi account? With so many free providers, I'm not sure what advantages they offer.

Many thanks, Zenos, for your time and for your helpful reply.

I was thinking of Gandi because it seems very easy to set up from Thunderbird. Looks like .org.uk will cost about £5 a year, which isn't too bad.

I just want it to be easy to set up. And then to work.....

Thanks again, Phil

Seems to me it's Virgin Media making difficulties - my main email address with them works fine from Thunderbird, but Thunderbird just won't find the second VM email address I set up the other day.

My internet connection is fine. Mail2Web gets me through to my new VM address, but I don't want to go through all that palaver every time I want to use my new address.

Thanks for your help!
