Using Windows 10 Professional 64-bit and Earlybird version 48.0a2 (2016-05-01), I cannot drag individual file attached to the email to a folder on my Windows C:\ path. I believe it used to work, or else I would have already known it, since I drag files out of email often.

I can drag the entire .eml file from the inbox to the c:\Blah folder, and I can do Save As on any attached file in the email to place it in the C:\Blah folder. But, if I try to drag-and-drop any single file out of the email attachments to c:\Blah it simply does not copy the file.

I have a laptop with the same exact setup, and it works just fine, but on my desktop (described above), it has stopped working.

I even tried running Eearlybird in Safe Mode with all add-ons turned off. I also tried "Run as Administrator" when starting Earlybird, but still doesn't work.

Any advice or hints?

EarlyBird is for bug-finding. So file a bugreport

I can drag a jpg attachment from a message to a File Explorer folder with Earlybird/W10P, so I can only suggest there is something wrong with how your TB handles attachments. Might be worth trying to reset mimeTypes.rdf to see if that makes any difference.

Thanks, I followed your suggestion and posted a bug report. It was immediately marked as a duplicate, as someone had already reported it about a week or so ago. They claim to have already fixed it in the code base, but it has not been released into the Earlybird update yet, but I'm assuming it will be soon.

Here is the original bug report: Ref: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1267259

I'm really impressed with the Mozilla team over addressing this matter,
