How do I remove or hide the Share Links buttons on Firefox for Android?

Firefox for Android includes share buttons (Bluetooth and the Android share mechanism) on both the New Tab popup, and on the Current tab menu page.

I'm wondering if there's a way to disable, remove or fully hide these buttons. They are easy to press accidentally, and I have not ever found a reason to use them.

I was using an extension that moved them to another area, but it is no longer compatible with Firefox 57. However, I figure it's better to just find a way - about:config flag or otherwise - to remove them.

EDIT - Images of the buttons in question have been attached.

I second this request. On my tablet, this pops up incessantly as I'm trying to scroll down pages. It's constantly interfering with what I'm trying to do. Many pages do not have a big enough clear area to touch without activating this popup. I have never used it and don't plan to ever use it. So, how about it? Can we have an option to disable this?
