I am sorry that you are stressed, I wish I could pass over a cup of tea to you.

In terms of downloading a certificate for a website, this is done automatically when you visit a website. The menu you are describing will show you what certificate was downloaded.

Here is a little bit more about features in Firefox that can tell you a bit more about a secure certificate: Secure Website Certificate

If a new one has been added to the site by the web administrator, you can reload the website and see the certificate change.

However, if you are running into errors please do post back and we can walk you through troubleshooting anti-virus or secure connection errors.
