First of all, I can't figure out how to delete individual cookies. If I can't do this, I'll have to restore version 56.

I can't stand the interface. I want my tabs in multiple in rows, and I DON'T want an X on each tab -- I am always closing tabs accidentally that way. Is there a version of Tab Mix Plus that works with 61?

I suspect I'm going to have to restore version 56. If so, can I do that and save my bookmarks? Can I just install 56 over 61?

Hi, no that is one thing that has not made it do to security is Tab Mix Plus. I know nothing about as it is work in progress to the new way of making Extensions which can read below :

As for the X, you do get used to it. It maybe able to remove it with userChrome, down below will see what userChrome can do. How about a big learning curve for you :

Customize Firefox in 235 million ways, ask for help if need it :

Cookies and Cache

No you can not install 56 over top.

Then go back if that is your wish by uninstalling. Once get use to it you will forget about what 56 was as it was long ago and backwards.

Please feel free to ask about extensions/Add-on alternatives that you may want. As well as other info for what you would like to do, how to do it.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

No more deleting individual cookies in FF 57+, but Cookie Quick Manager can do that. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/cookie-quick-manager/. No idea about your other issue.

This should be the one I meant for New Tab :

No, I am NOT going to get used to the X on every tab.

I have no idea why you are talking to me about Chrome.

As for Cookie Quick Manager, I can't figure out how to use it.

The developers of FireFox are PEOPLE WITH VERY POOR JUDGEMENT. The program just keeps getting worse. The best version I ever used was version TWO.

Please give me the link to version 56 so I can download it. Thank you.

Would you look at he link on userChrome please first. Chrome is a term Firefox has used before there was a browser called Chrome.

You wanted double rows of tabs and you do not like stuff, this is the way to fix what you do not like in a Multiprocessor and multi-thread browser.

Take your pick 32bit or 64 bit https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/56.0.2/

I can't even back up my profile folder because I can't find the AppData folder where the instructions say it should be.

No, I want to go back to version 56. I see no reason to have to go through this learning curve. Version 56 is recent enough to be secure.

What do I download on this page? -- https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/56.0.2/

I can't tell. I want the 64-bit version.

Do I want Win64-EME-free or do I want just Win64 -- and what are all those directories under Key? Is there an installation file in there?

Would you please direct me to an installation file for version 56?

Did you click on the link to userchrome, some neat pics of stuff can do, one of which you wanted.

Win64

Actually it is not secure, it was being attacked as soon as 57 came out.

G'luck

Yes, I clicked on that link and didn't see what I need. I want to reinstall version 56. HOW DO I DO THAT? I see directories full of files -- what do I do with them? There must be an INSTALLATION PROGRAM for version 56 that I can use.

I just found an installation file for 55.0.3 on my computer. Is there any reason why that shouldn't work? I can then upgrade to version 56. However, the installation file may be 32-bit.

Here you go. ver 56.0.2 fixes all issues in other browsers and is the most stable https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/56.0.2/win64/en-US/ as per release notes : https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/56.0.2/releasenotes/

Thank you, but why did you then post an earlier installation program?

Anyway, if I uninstall version 61 and then install version 56, will my profile folder still be there? I have made a backup of the profile folder on my desktop.

It may with luck be there but will it work is a different matter as it is not that backwards compatible.

But you got your bookmarks backed up separately then everything else is a little work.

If have problems with the Profile, let us know can walk you through making a new one and transferring somethings across.

I gave you 56.0.2 as being the last release and most stable with fixes. But you said 56.0 so gave that to you also. Pick and choose. G'luck.

I have now done the uninstall of 61 and the install of 56. Not only did I get my bookmarks, but it restored my tabs and extensions.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP. I am sorry if I was a cranky customer, but I have been using Firefox since version one, and I am accustomed to being frustrated by the way Mozilla does things, and I no longer have any patience.

The benefit for me, having gone through all this, is that I am now using the 64-bit version instead of the 32-bit version, so it may be more stable.

Thanks again for your help.
