When I enter a password, Firefox asks if I want to save the password, I select yes, but it NEVER saves them.

Under Privacy and Security, I have checked the box to "Ask to Save Logins and Passwords for Websites".

Under Saved Logins, there are no saved logins/passwords.

You can still try to reset the files that are used for storing the passwords like I posted above. The question I asked above is merely to ensure whether you were using these feature because they can affect issues with the passwords.

Did you ever used the Password Manager to store passwords in Firefox?

Did you ever use or are you sharing the same profile folder with other Firefox releases since you appear to be using a beta version?

Are you using a master password or use Sync?

Try to rename/remove logins.json and key4.db and, if present, delete key3.db in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:preferences page.

NO master password or Sync in use, so I assume that the script provided is not applicable to me. Correct?

This is a Mac. And I'm quite literate but not highly technical so more detail is most helpful.

Thanks!

It worked!!! Yippee!

I found the hidden library, renamed the JSON script and key4, and deleted the key3.

It now saves passwords perfectly. I'm not aware of my beta version status, but please let me know if I should be on a production version and how to get there.

Many thanks!!!
