Trying to login to Amazon....I had saved my User & Password on Firefox. My User name is saved ok, but my Password Box is just a bunch of Dots...........................which I can't erase and therefore cannot put in my correct password to login to Amazon. I called Amazon and they said to try logging in through Google Chrome which worked fine. Therefore Amazon reports that the problem is with my Firefox Mozilla Bowser.

I need some help. Thank you, Ed R

Yes, I've had that happen several times with Amazon which is why I now use the primary password option to prevent my Amazon password from changing. It looks a like a browser generated password.

From the menu just go into the Login and Passwords an edit the password if you know it. Shots show the long password and the other one shows the correct password. Not sure what's going on with Firefox and Amazon.

You can create a login block exception for this origin (protocol and hostname) to prevent Firefox from asking to update the stored password. Like posted above, you can edit the stored password in Lockwise if you have already saved the wrong password for Amazon.

Some websites modify the login field when you submit the form as a safety measure and also to prevent storing the login in a password manager.
