Hi, I know Mozbackup is no longer being supported or updated. Is there another program that does the same job? If not, what is the best backup solution? I have multiple mail accounts and years of emails that I would like to keep backed up. Is the only solution backing up your profile? Should Differential or Incremental be used? I know, multiple questions, but all related to same issue.

TIA

(Need updated Mozbackup with incremental backups!)

incremental backups of a Thunderbird profile are just a waste. Whilst ever the mbox storage format is used the incremental backups will be huge.

Personally I think the best solution is to simply copy the profile to a backup device. A simple batch file and the windows scheduling tool is sufficient. But you must be sure Thunderbird is not running when the backup occurs.

You could also use the backup in the import export tools addon. https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools-ng

Or you could use the windows backup tools in your operating system.

Perhaps it is time to consider a proper backup tools if none of those meet your needs. https://www.acronis.com/en-au/articles/windows-backup/
