Thunderbird no longer can access Yahoo or Gmail accounts, even with reset

Prior to the end of August, I had no issue with accessing my accounts. However, the accounts no longer update the mail. I tried to reset the accounts, but Thunderbird kept asking me to manually configure it (and still did not work when proper settings were put).

Is this a known issue, and when can it be addressed?

I presume you are using imap accounts - are you using Authentication Method: Oauth2 for incoming and outgoing ? If no then let me know because gmail and yahoo have changed what they accept as Authentication Method.

If yes, then please try: Try https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/candidates/102.2.2-candidates/build1/win64/en-US/Thunderbird%20Setup%20102.2.2.exe which fixes a bug to do with oauth. Take the defaults when installing so that it installs on top of your currrent thunderbird program directory.

It seems the problem was fixed a few days after I posted this. I did not have to use the method proposed by Toad-Hall. Nevertheless, thank you for the help!
