I am a long time Thunderbird email user (back to Eudora) and never have had a problem until recently with 115.2.2 . I lost all of the contents of my Sent folder. I see the new Thunderbird sent email folder icon but it is empty.

Please help me find my lost sent emails and tell me how to prevent this from happening again. Thanks you in advance for your thoughts on this issue. chuck hall

Cool. But View > Folders > Unified is bad, right? I'm chatting with a developer about it now.

If only unified folders is the problem then

  1. open the troubleshooting information on the help menu.
  2. Click the show profile button
  3. Close Thunderbird
  4. Open the "mail" folder in the file manager window that opened.
  5. Delete the folder named "smart mailboxes"
  6. Restart Thunderbird.

Wayne, Firefox and Thunderbird are my favorite tools so when it seemed that the 115.2.2 update was going to allow me to use Thunderbird like I had been using it for many years I was really upset. Your suggestions solved my problem and I really appreciate your help. I will make another Mozilla donation shortly.
