i cant use seperate firefox windows for links, nothing pops up, why is this?

i click on links on one page of Firefox, but the windows where the links lead are whited out and i have no idea what the problem is. it doesn't say there is an error, its just blank and it doesn't load. help please.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
