I just want to know why you guys keep making updated versions at such a rediculous pace. the numbering doesnt matter, its the usability, and firefox is no longer usable with so many things :(

you are already better than chrome, but now chrome has more compatability :(

Firefox should not currently upgrade against your will.

Firefox 6 is no longer secure or supported so the recommended downgrade is Firefox 3.6.23, but that may not be supported for too long and do you really want to downgrade so far. Note even if you set Firefox 3.6 to upgrade it will only currently do the point upgrades say from firefox 3.6.22 to 3.6.23, and will not upgrade to Firefox 7.0.1 (it may display a nag screen though)

I tend to agree firefox should have handled the compatibility issues better when they moved onto this fast release cycle. Download, install and use the add-on firefox compatibility reporter it should help with the add-ons problem.

A lot of users need javascript enabled in the browser, but do not necessarily need Java, I think recent problems have tended to relate to Mac s rather than PC s. What do you mean by Java is not working, what problems exactly is that causing you ?
