I have an old computer: Pentium 4 CPU 1.60GHz; 1.59GHz, 1.00 GB RAM; Windows XP Service Pack 3. Internet provider: Comcast with connection speed of 15Mbps. When I launch Firefox 8 my CPU Usage shots up to 100% & lingers there for a while 5, 10, 20 seconds maybe. When I stream, ie hulu, the CPU Usage shoots to 100% & stays there making the streamed image & audio choppy. And I get "Server Busy This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose 'Switch To' to activate the busy program and correct problem". I don't understand what the Server Busy message is telling me, what program is busy, and why the CPU Usage shoots to 100% and lingers as long as it does. Any suggestions.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
