unable to uninstall firefox. I want to uninstall to reinstall a fresh copy

The Mozilla uninstaller does not work. it will not open. In add and remove programs Mozilla will not uninstall. I also went to RUN and looked for the uninstaller and it did not worked. I have fallowed all the suggestions I could find in the internet and none has worked. I am afraid that if I go to the file where Mozilla is, and delete everything, that all the internet saved documents and downloads will be also deleted. I am running Windows XP service pack three.

  • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

OR

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

Your data will not be lost (bookmarks, history etc.)

hello, you can just download and install a fresh copy of firefox from getfirefox.com on top of your current installation - this has the same effect as uninstalling and reinstalling.
in most cases this procedure won't help to tackle any issues with firefox though. it's better to reset firefox (this will keep your personal data like bookmarks & passwords too)...
