How can I totally disable Thunderbird's junk filtering?

As per this archived question: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1386828 I want to turn off junk filtering completely. Like the poster on the above mentioned question, I have done everything suggested, but Thunderbird still puts messages into the Junk folder. How can I achieve this? Info requested on the above mentioned question: - I am using Thunderbird 115.13.0 (64-bit) on Xubuntu 22.04 - My email service is gandi.net

Thunderbird retention policy

I have set the retention policy on my Thunderbird account for 30 days both in the setting for the inbox and the All Mail inbox and I have used the same setting for my acc… (baca lebih lanjut)

I have set the retention policy on my Thunderbird account for 30 days both in the setting for the inbox and the All Mail inbox and I have used the same setting for my account however it only works on the inbox and I have 1745 message in the All Mail folder which intermittently deletes the older messages and then restores them.

Am I doing something wrong?

I can't send e-mails to anyone with a "att.net" or "sbcglobal.net" they all come back as not deliverable!

I sent out "1" e-mail to "169 clients" and 31 came back as not deliverable, they ended in either, "att.net" or "sbcglobal.net" e-mail address's. So I resent "31" indivi… (baca lebih lanjut)

I sent out "1" e-mail to "169 clients" and 31 came back as not deliverable, they ended in either, "att.net" or "sbcglobal.net" e-mail address's.

So I resent "31" individually e-mails back out, 1 at a time", and it took longer for them to come back, but they ALL came back, as not deliverable AGAIN! they all ended in "att.net" or "sbcglobal.net".

In case you are wondering: I been in business since 2003 and have sent out alerts to my customers as needed, and I have NEVER encountered this problem before! I did send it out using my "Hotmail webpage account", and it sent and hasn't come back yet. So it seems its a Thunderbird issue? Thanks in advance for any help you can be to resolve this issue for me. I been using Thunderbird e-mail Program for as long as I can remember.

I recently came across the Thunderbird versions are being mentioned as "esr".

In 115.0 version, I see "esr" is added from the 115.10.2esr to 115.14.0esr, the latest version. I also do not see any change in the installers provided. I would like to understand what is the difference between the previous versions and the versions with "esr"?

In 128.0 version, I can see only 128.0.1esr and 128.1.0esr. Is there no normal updates? Now only esr is supproted?

I had version 115.0 installed but I was able to upgrade to 128.1.0esr without any issue. Is this supported?

Debugging message filters and want to see the log. From message filters window I click box "Filter Log". It brings up the small config box of which a pic is attached. I can't find anyway to actually see or access the log. It must be hiding here somewhere ? ?

I have tried to clear the log so it is small in case it is large and takes long to load as I've seen elsewhere. No change.

I try to look this the "Activity Manage" which has some log like error messages but it is a mess of unordered seemingly random successes and some failures. This is another topic.

So, any guidance on how to use the filter log would be greatly appreciated.

When I installed the update on my desktop the view stayed as it was since I installed the program which I think it was or prior to 115. Thunderbird has been updated to 128.1. When I installed 128.1 fresh install on my laptop it has a card style view and I can't change it no mater which view the check mark is on. Restarting Thunderbird after changing the check mark to different views had no affect. Maybe I am misunderstanding the terminologies.

I am using Mac OS Ventura 13.6.9. I have been a Thunderbird user for many years. Since this last update, I have started having issues where not all emails are displaying. Seems like most recent emails open correctly, but when I get to emails that are a day or 2 old, I get the the following banner across the top of the screen when the email opens, but can't open the remainder of the email.

Xpunge no longer works since the Thunderbird update; the new one won't be ready until sometime in Sept. (hopefully). I installed the only other add-on that looks as though it should be able to get rid of what's in my junk mail folders. However, I can find no information on it.

It says it's in its own folder, but I can't find it anywhere. It doesn't seem to work automatically and I can't seem to refuse permission for it to read and move my messages (or any other permissions). Does anyone know anything about this? With Xpunge I clicked on it and all of the messages in my junk and/or trash folders (my choice) were deleted; that's what I'm looking for.

1. Where can I find it? It isn't on the toolbar. 2. Can I expect it to automatically move messages to my junk mail folder -- messages that I don't want junked? 3. Will it delete all of the mail in the junk folders of all of my accounts or just move mail to the junk folders? I'm computer-based.

Since the last update, my filters no longer work. Especially the ones where I want to move attachments to a specific folder. For example, to print them out. The option to "separate attachments" is no longer available

I have restarted TB several times, restarted the computer, checked for any and all malicous firmware and still its not working
