I recently upgraded Ubuntu to 14.10. After that, I found out YouTube videos can no longer be played. Video area appears grey and no screen.

I saw a similar problem and a solution on firefox website. However, it seems work for windows and Macs. As the realplayer is no longer supported on Ubuntu, what's the alternative way I can fix this problem?

I have tried trouble shooting with safe mode, and also tried to re-initialise the plugin database, but not working.
