Why does Thunderbird add an A at the end of sentences when I save an email I am working on to the Drafts folder, and then open it to work on it at a later time?
Twice now I have been working on an email and then saved it to the Drafts folder to finish later, and I have then backed out of Thunderbird. Upon opening Thunderbird up once again, and going to the Drafts folder to open up and work on the email once again Thunderbird, the first time had added an A or AE at the end of every sentence. I then had to go through the entire email to remove these letters. Today I saved an email to the Drafts folder, as before, and this time when I opened the email again an A had been randomly placed at the end of some sentences but not all. Again I had to go through the entire email and remove the added A's. I have not had a problem with Thunderbird doing this in past times. This has only been the case in the last two weeks. I was given a laptop and downloaded the latest version of Thunderbird on it, and it this is the version that this is occurring with. I don't understand why the added letter or letters are being added to the email. They are not something that I have typed into the email.

I'm just guessing, but sometimes you may see an A-like character when instead of an ordinary space there is a specially coded space (and it is not decoding back into a plain-looking space).
Do you type just one space between sentences? If you type multiple spaces, it's possible that all but one of them might get specially coded because otherwise HTML will collapse them into a single space.
