From one day to the next Video playback (youtube, Vimeo etc) stopped working in Firefox. I checked my plugins/add-ons and discovered the Adobe plugin "primetime content decryption module" which I hadn't previously noticed had been installed. I disabled the plugin and found that video playback was again functional.

I realise the Primetime plugin is intended to facilitate playblack of some content (DRM) which may not otherwise play via Silverlight/Flash plugins but unless I disable it it is actually preventing me from playing normal video content.

As this is a Firefox/Adobe suggested plugin I would prefer it to function as intended rather than disable/remove it.

A quick update to my above reported problem (I perhaps should have tried this first)

I ENABLED the plugin once more to see if it was still preventing video playback but everything now appears to be ok (i.e, Primetime plugin is activated and all videos are playing normally)

Will report back if the problem arises again
