Your posts indicate that Firefox 64 bit would become available with v.40, and then Thunderbird would follow. I am using the latest Firefox v.42, which is still 32 bit. What happened? When will we get 64 bit versions?

See Thunderbird 42.... nope it is V38 and that will be the release version for some time to come yet. You might see a Thunderbird 64 with the 45 release. if not then it will be in the 52 time frame.

Please do not make the assumption that 1. Mozilla makes Thunderbird 2. That Statements about Firefox apply to Thunderbird.

Win64 Firefox for Release does exist as Firefox 42.0 (not 40.0) was the first to have Win64 along with 32-bit for Windows.

It is not so public at moment though you can get it at say https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/42.0/win64/

Maybe for Firefox 43.0 Release the Win64 version may get listed on www.mozilla.org/firefox/all
