Prior versions of Firefox use to log errors in a file under ~/.mozilla. There is no log present there. I am trying to diagnose a "download failed error" that did not specify the error that caused the failure, but no information is logged anywhere that I can find - and I performed a thorough search of my system.

After we are done troubleshooting, please update to the most recent version of Firefox:

If you have the downloads arrow icon in the Firefox menu bar, you can click on "Show all Downloads" however I have seen errors there before usually the Web Developer tools will put the logs in the folder you are mentioning.
