My Thunderbird marks messages from one sender as junk all the time even though I tell it not to
Hi,
I wasn't able to find a solution for my problem in any of the other questions that had been asked. I'm running Thunderbird 45.5.1 on a Windows 7 machine (probably not important). I have absolutely no issues but for one:
For about 4 or 5 months Thunderbird keeps identifying all e-mails by one e-mail sender (my mother) as spam. Nothing changed in my settings or computer set up. The e-mail address is in my address book and I have set the junk settings to exclude marking as junk if senders are in my address book. There is no other filter or block that I could find. It happens when I receive the e-mail on any of my e-mail accounts and they are not marked as junk in the online e-mail platform. In contrast to other junk e-mails I receive which are immediately moved into the junk folder, these e-mails get highlighted as junk but remain in my inbox. It does not matter how many times I tell the program that it is not junk, after a few minutes they are marked as junk again. I would be very grateful for a solution to this problem.
Thanks!

"Spam"? Not "Junk"?
The choice of words is important, because left to itself, Thunderbird doesn't use the word Spam. If messages are being labelled as Spam, or are being moved to a Spam folder then someone else is doing it.
That "someone else" will be your own security software, or some software being used by your email provider or ISP. However, just to confuse matters, some email providers do also use the term "Junk" and it can be hard to tell whether this label was applied by Thunderbird or by that third party.
You may find that moving these messages to another account, or to Local Folders, is an expedient way of stopping them being changed back to Junk. I find this useful when my outlook.com account occasionally goes gaga. In truth, you can put these messages anywhere but back into their own Inbox.

Right, ok, thanks for the clarification. It is not spam, it is labelled as junk. Apologies for creating confusion.
your mail provider?
