Any video on https://www.formula1.com/ is jerky and choppy though it works perfectly in Edge or Internet Explorer. Any ideas on a fix for Firefox?

Go to about:config and look for browser.sessionstore.interval.

Change its default value (1500) to a higher one and close.

That should allow for a better video playback.

Sorry, this fix had no effect. I changed to 30000 and then 300000 but the F1 video is still jerky. It works perfectly in Opera browser in Linux Mint 17.3 but is also jerky in Chrome but not quite as bad as Firefox. Changing to W10_1703 on the same hardware and Edge and IE are perfect.

OK all you gurus, here's a challenge for you. If I remove the adobe flash plugin, then the video on www.formula1.com website smooths right out and plays perfectly but other flash content no longer works. If I re-install the adobe flash plugin, then the fi video becomes jerky again but other video starts working again. This happens in Firefox but not Opera. Can anyone fix it for me?
