If I install a newer version of Firefox, will it overide the older version and will all my information, emails, etc be transferred to the newer version?

My current version of Firefox is crashing all the time. If I install a new version (which would you recommend), would it help? Also, would the newer version override the older version and would all my information automatically transfer to the newer version? Thanks, George

Firefox comes in two or more folders on all computers. They are;

Maintenance: (Programs Folder) <Windows Only> Firefox itself: (Programs Folder) And at least one folder in the profile of each user on the computer.

If you remove the Firefox folder, the user folders would not be affected.

When you install a different version of Firefox, the current program is overwritten by the installer.
