I can still access my gmail acct from Linux and Win10 via Firefox. My old Galaxy S5 still lets me access my gmail acct via wifi, and my new Galaxy S9 seems to have no problem accessing my gmail acct - so, the acct and password are unchanged. Thunderbird is always up, the last Windows 10 system reboot was 21July and Thunderbird hasn't been updated since, nor was it ever restarted till today. Thunderbird is setup for IMAP to both my ISP email acct (still working ok) and IMAP to my gmail acct. I've changed the Authentication method for the gmail IMAP server setting to OAuth2, to no effect. When I try to get messages from the gmail acct, I get the error "Failed to connect to server imap.googlemail.com." Turning off the firewall on the PC does not help.
