Maybe you'd like to check the values of some preferences on the "about:config" page :

Type in the address bar about:config and press Enter (promise to be careful, if asked)

Type in the search bar : popups

You'll see a number of preferences appear.

If you have to change anything, then close and restart Firefox, in order for the change to take effect.
