I have been using Calendar on Thunderbord for 2+ years, fine. Most of my calendars are linked to my ICloud account.

Just now, I get a "authentication required" message:

Httos://p45-caldav.icloud.com is requesting your username and password. The site says "MMCalDAV"

User Name: [Prefilled] Password:

[ ] Use Password Manager to remember this password

So, I type in my ICloud PW, and to remember ... but all it does is continue to repeat the message (ie assume it is not accepting my PW). And even if I "Cance;" it still pops back up.

I have not recetly changed my ICloud PW, so it should not be that.

Any idea what problem might be ?

Do you have an anti virus? Moved to another internet provider (or on holiday using "borrowed/public/hotel" wifi)? Or started using a VPN? all of these are common trouble causing changes.

I have McAfee ... but have had for a long time. Long standing internet provider, and no VPN. In short, nothing changed other than any background industry-standard software (that would/should affect a lot of people similarly if there was an underlying issue with an update). Turned off McAfee scan and Firewall, but that does not solve problem. I can log into Icloud just fine, so there is no problem/PW issue there.

Problem solved.

Not clear as to why this happened, but the issue was the Apple secure password. It must have changed / got corrupted somewhere along the way.

My error above was trying to use my Icloud password to sign in; however this only occurred after the problem had arisen in the first place.

I generated a new secure Apple password, used that when asked to sign in, and all my calendars came back on line ....
