Change Remote Content Authorization Choice
By default Thunderbird blocks 'remote content' in messages. For a long time I would choose options/"show remote content in this message". Then, for favorite sites and newsletters, I switched to allow remote content for the site. I am not sure I always made the correct choice. But, I can not find a way to see what content is being allowed.
The 'To protect your privacy...' banner and 'options' button no longer shows for permitted senders. I would like to see the choices again and perhaps pick a different one.
Is that possible? If not, can it be added to the message's 'more' selection?
Thank you.

Tools/Options/Privacy/Mail Content, Exceptions... is for managing the allowed sites. If you remove all the exceptions to start fresh, you should see the Options bar for each message with remote content, but only if View/Message Body As is Original HTML.

Allow remote content in messages > exceptions (Options > Privacy > Mail Content) all disappeared after recent Thunderbird updates. There isn't any way to export the settings so adding them all again is very frustrating. (reporting icons disappearing from toolbars resulted in no response, so I'm hoping this one will)

" The permissions.sqlite and content-prefs.sqlite files store the permissions for what what remote content can be displayed"

If you have a profile backup, copy these two files into the current profile.
