Hello,

Is there any way I can opt out of the big 5 or 6, regarding "default" search engines? Do I need an add on for that? Or is there a way I can have the freedom to choose how to look for info?

I am trying to default my Search Home page, or engine, or whatever to Yandex.com. The add-on Yandex offers does not work, nor have been updated for years.

Am I locked by what ever Firefox offers, from the usual search engines?

I am at an edge to forsake Firefox, after 20 years of having it as my default browser, because how cirppling and controlling regarding search engines.

Thanx

If you go to Yandex.com, you can add it as a search engine to Firefox. This is done by pressing the three dots in the Firefox address bar and pressing the Add Search Engine button.

That will add Yandex to the list of search engines and you can set it as your default if you wish to do so.

Hope this helps.
