Search engine switches from Google to Yahoo

I want to use Google as my search engine. When I go to Google and type my search keywords into the bar, I get themessage that says, "Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page." The URL in the search bar is, "https://search-land.com/?pubid=30105&tid=1015&sid=10052&q=firefox.com&sig=2" If I allow, I end up with responses from Yahoo. If I do not allow the redirect, I end up with a blank screen.

I HATE Yahoo as a search engine. I have removed it as a search engine in the options for search, but I still end up there. I cannot get to Google. Can anyone help me with this?

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; (<Control> [Mac=<Command>] <Shift> A)

In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Remove “ Yahoo “ Anything.

Also remove SafeSearch, SearchAssist Incognito, FileConverter Addon, SearchLock, DiscreteSearch, WebSearch, Findwide Search Engine, securedsearch

Now do the same in the computer’s Programs Folder.

Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the Applications folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

Thank you for sharing your browser details. Your extensions list includes two that might be suspicious, following the pattern Fred suggested:

(1) "name": "Protected Browsing", "type": "extension", "version": "1.0", "isActive": true, "id": "protbrowsing@live"

I can't find this extension on the Add-ons site. Any idea where it came from?

(2) "name": "Safe Browsing", "type": "extension", "version": "1.0.25", "isActive": true, "id": "{850be3a2-ca5f-47ad-838c-fe39b006e0da}"

This one says in its description "The Safe Browsing extension detects and redirects non-private and non-safe searches to MyPrivateSearch's privacy-enhanced search results. Protects you from tracking by Google, Bing and other search engines."
