At one time in the recent past Thunderbird allowed one to create custom headers and footers for printouts of Draft and Sent emails.

No longer.

After the latest update, I was perusing the right-hand column of the Print window. I found the check boxes for Options: Print Headers and Footers.

I unclicked that box... the headers and footers disappeared.

I clicked the box again...

the footer came back as it has looked before: page number on the left, date and time on the right.

the header came back... instead of Subject line on the left, filename thread on the right.... with JUST the Subject... in the MIDDLE.

I haven't yet found any means for changing the print header back.

Please help.

There is some customization of the headers offered by Printing Tools NG (see picture). A beta version for TB 91 is here. Download the xpi file and install in the TB Tools/Add-ons & Themes tab.
