I cleaned up a number of old profiles and old archives. Evidently I deleted something important as now all I see are new messages in my email accounts. The mbox files are still there and have all the email in them. I tried the Repair Folder option - nothing. I tried deleting the msf files - nothing. Thunderbird is not rebuilding the msf files. Any clue as to how it get it to rebuild the msf files or rebuild whatever is missing. I have a backup and I don't see anything that looks important in the backup that isn't still there.

The only other change I made is that I am synching my profiles folder to OneDrive but not sure how that would break things.

It was One Drive. My profiles were in my Documents folder. When I setup sync to One Drive it removes everything from your local Documents folder and moves it to the local One Drive Documents folder. But my Thunderbird config was pointed explicitly at the old local one drive folder. Turned off One Drive auto sync of Documents. Everything now works.
