When I blocked a few IP addresses from the firewall. Google chrome and Microsoft Edge performed slowly to Google drive, but not Firefox. What makes Firefox work differently in performance to websites than Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge?

You blocked addresses for Google Drive-related sites, or some other addresses?

It's possible that Firefox DNS lookups are returning different addresses than Chrome's DNS lookups?

I believe some of the IP address matched Google/Google cloud and one from Google workspace. How would I know if Firefox is using a different DNS lookups?

By default, Firefox will enable DNS over HTTPS and use Cloudflare for DNS. See: Firefox DNS-over-HTTPS.

I think Chrome uses Google for DNS, although it might use the system DNS -- I almost never use Chrome, so I haven't explored those settings.
