to upgrade my firefox browser from 32 bit to 64 bit, I was following the mozilla instructions to download the 64 bit version, but then uninstall the 32 bit version before installing the 64 bit version. However, using the microsoft store to obtain the 64 bit version, it didn't just download it, it installed the 64 bit version. Now I have both. Should I merely remove 32 bit, and my profile file will be accessed to complete the set up of the 64 bit version? Don't want to loose bookmarks, passwords, etc. by removing 32 bit version.

I would uninstall the 64bit from Microsoft and get it from Mozilla. Because if and when you have an issue that will be one of the first questions "Where did you get Firefox from?". https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

During the install process for the 64bit from Mozilla, make sure you are not installing over the 32bit. Change the install location for the 64bit.

Then you can use Sync to copy your data from the 32bit to the 64bit version. see my screenshot of synced devices. Sync will see the different versions of Firefox as different devices. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-set-sync-my-computer
