Firefox recently started toggling my homepage back & forth between my 2 home desktops, so when I set homepage to my main mail acount on 1 PC, it forces the other PC to my alternate (seldom used but necessary) email account.

The URL difference between the 2 homepages is ...mail/u/1/#inbox versus ...mail/u/0/#inbox. Switching the other PC homepage to the other email whenever I try to change both to the same homepage has its humorous side, yes, but gets very annoying quickly. How can I get both PCs to have the same homepage again? I've tried every suggestion to set homepage, but always the same result: the other PC's homepage is switched to the other homepage.

If you have sync, and there is a problem anywhere, Shut Down Sync Immediately On All Devices to prevent the problem from spreading. Once the problem is fixed, perform the same repair on all computers/profiles before using sync again.

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

Macs: Make sure you install Firefox properly and that you do not run Firefox from within the DMG (Disk Images) file. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-download-and-install-firefox-mac

I don't use a "home page". There is an article about it. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-set-the-home-page
