I recently bought a new laptop and didn't import Firefox to the new one. Now I can't access my passwords etc on Firefox because it asks my for my primary password. I have no idea what that might be. Does anyone know if there is any way to recover the passwords please?

What are you trying to do when Firefox asks for the Primary Password? Are you trying to import a CSV password backup?

You posted with Firefox 115.12.0 on Mac OS x 10.13. Does the new labtop use a MacOS 15 or newer OS version that can be used with 127.0.2? Are you trying to move files from the old device to the new device?

When I bought the new Macbook Air, I didn't want to import Firefox as I decided to just have the one browser - Safari. I was going to go through the passwords on Firefox before I decommissioned my old lap top, but now Firefox is asking me for a primary password. I just want access to my passwords on this old macbook pro
