I know how to set the homepage for the Initial Screen when the Firefox starts but whenever I open a new tab it opens as a blank page. I want to set Homepage for all the new tabs that open (just like we have in Internet Explorer).

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

== I installed the latest update.

Hello Rajesh.

This specific feature is no longer in Firefox by default. You may want to simply middle-click the home button instead of clicking the new tab button. This is a less than optimal solution, so you may want to consider installing an extension like New Tab Homepage to allow you to load the homepage when you clean the new tab button. There are other extensions with this feature too, if you don't want that one.

Found the answer in another thread discussing the same problem. Hit Ctrl and click the Home icon at the same time. Works great!

To permanently set new tabs to open on your homepage (or any web page you like), do the following:

- type "about:config" in the navigation pane

- a message will appear, informing you that you could really screw something up if you don't know what you're doing. Click "I'll be careful. I promise"

- search for "browser.newtab.url"

-double click on it, and change the value to whatever web page you want new tabs to default to (i.e. http://www....)

-click OK and you're done!
