how to use check4change
I downloaded the check4change automatic refreshing feature but do not see it in my tool bar. Ive used it before on a different computer, so the way I understand it, I should highlight a section of the page I want refreshed, find the Check4Change feature in my tool bar and indicate my preferences in time, noise, etc. How do I get the option to appear on my tool bar though? Thank you, Jessie

If the toolbar button has not appeared, try the method in the how to customize the toolbar article to drag and drop the icon from the customize toolbar dialog onto the toolbar.
Also check the add-ons manager to make sure that the Check4Change add-on has been shown as installed, and that there are no error messages by its name in the add-ons manager.
Thank you! Check4change is properly installed but does not show as an option for me to drag to my toolbar with I use the customize toolbar feature. Any other ideas? I really appreciate your help!
When you highlight text does a Check4Change option appear in the right-click context menu? If it does not, try uninstalling and re-installing the add-on.
You can also try asking the author of the add-on via this page - http://check4change.mozdev.org/feedback.html
Woohoo! Its there but only if I have a "right click" on my mouse. But on my other computer, the mouse doesn't have this. Any advice for that hiccup? Thanks again.
Always read the add-on page for any extension you install and check the home page for that extension. Answers to questions of this nature are usually there:

You need to update your plug-ins. It is important to keep them updated due to continuing security fixes and improvements in those plug-ins:
- Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 11.5.0
- Shockwave Flash 10.0 r45
- Check your plugin versions: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
- Note: plugin check page does not have information on all plugin versions
- Update Shockwave for Director
- NOTE: this is not the same as Shockwave Flash; this installs the Shockwave Player.
