i am trying to getto my gmail and firefox is telling me it is an unsecure connection or that someone is tampering with it

everytime i try to log in to gmail an alert comes up that says that there is an unsecure certifcate-the 1st for google that said it expired in 2009 and the next for mozilla that said it expired in 2010 and it won't let me enter into my gmail account even if i try to overrideand that someone may be trying to access my account would it have to do with a big storm that knocked out the computer while it was on? what do i do to override this or fix it as it says i cannot get a certifcate that is valid
