Why does the text in FF6 look so ugly and inconsistent with other browsers. It's less sharp, difference in letter spacing and line height, sometimes it also looks bolder.

With the old version of FF the text was displayed the same way as in other browsers.

If you are refering to the text in the actual websites then your browsers zoom might be out of sync. Try pressing Ctrl+zero.

-) nope that's not it. Take a look for yourself. Open same page with some styled text in FF6 and chrome for example.

Also when you don't specify a line-height FF6 will use a much larger line-height than the other browsers. This was not the case with the older version.

Just noticed that the color is a bit different as well...

Go to wikipedia and compare the blue text links to chrome or IE
