I uninstalled Aurora and when I started FF 7 my profile had been deleted. I was under the impression that profiles were stored in a seperate location but when I go to it there is only a fresh "default" profile. Is there any way to recover my profile?
To find my profile I used Help>Troubleshooting Information>Open Containing Folder. That is where I found only a new default folder.
I also run Nightly but I don't use separate profiles for each build.
Right before uninstalling Aurora through Remove Programs, I launched the FF profile manager and created a new blank profile and gave it a name. I left my default profile named "default". The profile manager did say "launch Aurora" at the bottom right instead of firefox. I was under the impression that FF7, Nightly and Aurora all use the same profile data so I don't see how it is relevant but maybe it is.
I tried using Piriforms Recuva program to restore the deleted folder and I wasn't successful but there is a default folder listed with a different code than my current blank one. I'm pretty sure that is my old profile.

Start Firefox's Profile Manager and see if you can select the other one http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic%20Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile
I tried that. When I start the profile manager there is only the default and no other, but it is blank.
If you have chosen to remove personal data while uninstalling Aurora then all Firefox profiles have been removed and your data is lost.
You can try to recover that data with a program like Recuva.
