I had my 7 app tabs and 12 different tabs open. I accidentally hit 'start private browsing'. I did not change to private browsing like it normally does. So I bookmarked the 12 tabs that were open, then I closed them. The I closed Firefox. When I went to reopen Firefox, it updated itself and opened in private browsing. The problem is that the option to 'stop private browsing' is no longer working so I cant get back to regular Firefox with my 7 app tabs. How do I fix this? Ive tried rebooting my pc and that did not work.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history

  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"
