Firefox saves files to /mnt/sdcard/downloads. If you have attached the phone to your computer x:\downloads, where x is the drive Windows creates for the phone.

This is only true if you selected save, if you opened the file directly Firefox will remove the file when it is quit or the phone is rebooted.
