My internet bank web site that I have used for years will not load anymore this weekend. Most other web sites I use will load but not all. Also, some that load are now slow.

Could I have damage from a virus? My anti virus program recently found and eliminated an infection; and no further infection is turning up in scans. However, some files have been placed in the safe virus lockup chest. None appear to be necessary files for operation, but I am not sure.

Please update Firefox to the latest Firefox 9.0.1 version via "Help > About Firefox" or "Help > Check for Updates"

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

You can try to reset (power off/on) the router.
