The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article. Or Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try some of the following programs to scan for malware:

Will this loose my saved Passwords as well? and bookmarks?

Asking so I can again save them to outside source. We just got new computers and saved my old ones to this computer. Never had this tool bar issue before

Using the Reset Firefox button us supposed to carry your passwords and bookmarks thru the reset procedure, but IMO you would be better off figuring out what was installed that have you that Winba toolbar.

{Ctrl + Shft + A} to open the Addons tab > Extensions
Is Wimba there? If so, Remove it.

If not, what's there that you don't remember installing your self, on purpose?

No it will not lose your Bookmarks, passwords etc. Running a Reset in Combination with the Malware scans will help you make sure that any malicious software you have on your PC is fully removed. Simply disabling/removing the addon (if you can even find it) may leave unwanted traces.

Is that toolbar part of the Firefox user interface or do you see it on web pages?

You can also do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
