I have Plainoldfavorites 1.2 installed but when I try to customize the POF icon onto address bar it says it is there but does not appear on the actual bar when the customizing page is closed. I have to use the Menu Bar at all times. How can I get the Icon back onto the Address Bar Please.

You can check for problems with the localstore.rdf file.

I am not computer illiterate enough to understand the intricacies of the RDF file I'm sorry to say but I tried to replace the Profile section as advised but it didn't work. I totally removed firefox and then reinstalled everything again but the same problem is still there. I'm really just trying to find out if this is just me having this problem or is it related to the last firefox update, it's really bugging me.

If an icon doesn't stay visible when you close the customize window then it is either disabled by a setting of that extension or there is a problem with the localstore.rdf file that stores the toolbar customization settings.
I'm not on Window, so can't check the POF extension.

A quick test is to rename the localstore.rdf file to localstore.rdf.sav with Firefox closed and see if it work better after starting Firefox.
If it didn't work then you can undo the rename and remove the .sav file extension that you've added.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

Thnx for your help cor-el but I did what you said and it didn't work so as you suggested it must be because of a different problem so, I'll just put up with is until the next upgrade and see what happens. Thnx again.
