When dragging a tab, focus now switches to the tab being dragged, unlike before where the focus did not change. How can I prevent this behavior?

Before, when dragging tabs on the tab bar, the current tab would retain focus no matter what tab was being dragged. Now, when dragging tabs, focus automatically switches to the tab being dragged. How can I change the behavior to its previous form?

Hello Chevanc, check it in Safe Mode, in Safe Mode window select "Start in Safe Mode" and see if this happen again, if not then see: Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems

(If the problem does not happen in Safe Mode, it is most likely because of an extension, theme or hardware acceleration).

thank you

Hello ideato, thanks for your comment, but unfortunately the issue still happens in Safe Mode. I also tested it on a separate computer with a fresh install of Firefox 18 with no add-ons installed, and it also happened on that computer.

i think it was an intended change in firefox 17 or at least a by-product of bug #783282 (please don't post in bug reports). however i don't think there's an easy way to change that back to the old behaviour at the moment...

Okay then, thanks madperson! I guess I'll roll back to 17 until somebody comes up with an extension (if that happens).
