When I click to open the bookmarks list and then move the cursor over the list I have sections of the list blacked out although the cursor position is not blacked out thankfully.

I have tried uninstalling and reloading firefox, restarting Firefox, but nothing seems to help. Help please.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Super advice as it cleared the problem. Hardware accelerator was the cause of the problem. Thank you.
